and while i"m making short posts, I need something new to occupy the front of my mind. Because I don't really want to think about the current resident (of my mind) at the moment.

I find it useful to put a stuffed (or, better yet, live!) monkey on one's head to distract one from one's own thoughts.

It works pretty well for Liz, anyway.
