Please note that I am not saying that any of this was deliberately skewed. Just that there was misinformation put out there. Given the magnitude of the tragedy I'm not surprised that some facts got confused between people. It happens. It doesn't erase the magnitude or significance of the story, especially given that the home was given ample time, warning, and offers of help to evacuate and the owners CHOSE NOT TO EVACUATE THE PATIENTS.
